Whether it’s because you are practicing social distancing or you just don’t feel like leaving the house, you can get your hands on a delicious meal through food and grocery delivery services. I have tried the following subscriptions and services and have had positive experiences with all of them.
Uber Eats features local restaurants as well as national chains. I am currently seeing no delivery fees for local restaurants (for a limited time). If you use code eats-marettef2ue you can get $7 off your first order while I get $20 off mine.
Blue Apron is a meal kit delivery service that lets you cook delicious meals at home. I have tried Blue Apron in the past and I enjoyed the dishes I cooked. All the ingredients you need are in the box.
Hello Fresh also offers meal kits that cater to vegetarians and non-vegetarians with a wide recipe variety. Meals start at $7.49 per serving.
Shipt is a shopping service I’ve used many times before to shop from Target. Deliveries can be as soon as hour and you can choose the delivery window. The shopper will contact you if you want about any items that are out of stock so you can choose a replacement.
Instacart delivers the groceries you need in as little as an hour. While I haven’t personally used it many of my friends use and recommend it.
Postmates is another way to support local businesses through restaurant order delivery. I find that their fees are a bit higher and customer service isn’t as good as GrubHub, but it still can have a variety of places to order from. However, Postmates often has stores on the app as well where you can order household necessities. (It depends on where you live.)
GrubHub is one of my favorite delivery services because their customer service team has been helpful when any issues have come up for me in the past.
Walmart has pickup and delivery grocery services. I have used both and had a pleasant experience each time. I also sometimes see promo codes for free pickup or delivery.
There are also many others that I have not yet tried. Which is your favorite service?
