** Thank you, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago, for hosting my family for a visit to Brick or Treat.

I’ve wanted to take the girls to LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Schaumburg, near Chicago, for quite some time, and the Brick or Treat event, happening now until Nov. 3 this year, was the perfect opportunity to get festive this Halloween while doing something new as a family. For Brick or Treat, the lego displays are made more spooky with spiders, pumpkins and more. There’s also Explore LEGO® HIDDEN SIDE™, a LEGO play experience with an all new AR feature. On your way into the Discovery Center, be sure to grab an orange bag to collect free LEGO pieces to build your own Halloween LEGO creation to take home. You can also take part in a scavenger hunt to find all the pumpkins the Master Model Builder has hidden around the attraction.
I loved seeing mini displays of Chicago landmarks, such as Navy Pier, which was Navy Fear, Sears Tower, the Bean and more.

You can also spot characters such as Batman around the center. We walked throught the Jungle Expedition, which was made to be spooky this month.

V and I enjoyed riding on the Kingdom Quest ride, and she also loved the Merlin’s Apprentice ride upstairs. By the way, these rides are included in the admission price, with the exception of the VR experience, which is an additional $6 per person over the age of 6. Families can also enjoy the 4D Cinema, with various showtimes. Star Wars fans will love its own display area, too!

There are various places to build creations using LEGOs throughout the center. At one location upstairs you can make a car/vehicle and then race it. You can also let kiddos run around in the Pirate Adventure Island play area upstairs. Our girls could had played on the slide all day long.

If you’d like to practice building, there’s also the Master Model Builder Workshop, which has build time throughout the day. You can take your time exploring the center and then take a break at the coffee shop, which has tables for you to eat or relax. (FYI: There’s a birthday party area as well.)
I loved seeing the Harry Potter and Hagrid models!
