It’s been quieter than usual on the blog because much of my time has been spent crafting. I love creating custom gifts for family, friends and my Etsy shop buyers. Some of my favorite creations have been flower shadow boxes, custom cups and ornaments. I’m sharing some of my crafting favorites and why I love them. I hope to make this a regular series in which I share useful crafting items.
Dollar Tree bucket: I use a plastic bin to hold my cut flowers before I roll them. This makes it easy to contain all the cut cardstock before I start rolling them into flowers. These are also great for storing crafting items to minimize the mess and clutter.
Light Pad: Before I had a light pad I struggled with the lighting in my office sometimes. I saw this item on Tiktok and immediately purchased it. It was under $10 but has made weeding my vinyl so much easier.
Essex Cart: This has worked well for me to store my vinyl, cardstock and other supplies. I also keep my Cricut Maker on the top shelf. I posted a video about it on Tiktok in May that went semi-viral. Some said it was not sturdy, but I’ve had no issue with it in the past five months.
Easy Press Pad: I use this when I use iron-on vinyl and press it with my Easy Press 2. It comes in handy.
Oracle 651 permanent vinyl: I have found that Oracle 651 sticks much better and is easier to work with than other brands of vinyl I have tried. It’s also affordable.
