Is it acceptable to talk about holiday cards yet? I sure hope so, because I ordered my family Christmas cards recently and they arrived last week! I already began addressing and sending them out this week and I can’t wait for family and friends to receive them! I started designing cards earlier this month on a few websites I have used before, but I ultimately went with Shutterfly for my Christmas cards this year. I simply liked my Shutterfly creation the best. Plus, I knew that shipping would be as quick as it always has been for me in the past.
My holiday cards typically have a simple design: They consist of a photo on the front from our most recent family session and a short note on the back about our year with at least one small photo. Funny thing is I designed a card and then realized it was almost exactly the same as last year’s. Oops! I guess I just like what I like! I decided instead to add some red to the card, which I haven’t done yet. I’ve been all about red Christmas decor this year, too! I easily found a design I liked on Shutterfly.
The Flora family’s 2017 holiday cards:
This year I used one of the photos from our third anniversary family session with Abigail Joyce Photography. On the back I used a photo from our gender reveal plus a short note wishing everyone a happy holidays and sharing our excitement for what’s to come in 2018, including our baby girl.

Last year’s holiday card:

Thank you! I like to hang the cards I get from friends and family using glitter clothing pins and twine. It’s become part of my holiday decor!
I love your cards! This is on my to do list for today. Shutterfly is one of my favorite sites to order from.
Thank you! Awesome! And they are having great sales lately!
Such sweet photos. I love getting the Christmas cards from friends and family with multiple photos on them!
Me too! Thank you!
I typically send the old-fashioned boxed cards and write out each one. These are so creative and they have that sweet personal touch.
Writing out each one is nice, too!
I’m (impatiently) waiting for our pictures to come in so we can order our cards!
I was the same way! Can’t wait to see yours.
We just ordered our cards today! I wish I had seen your link earlier. I’m so excited for them to come in.
Yes, it’s so fun!
We always get ours from shutterfly too, and do what you do, one picture on the front and then a couple on the back with a little message.
So cute!
Thank you!!
