This year I took my girls to the Gallagher Way Easter Egg Hunt for the first time. Tickets to this egg hunt are a hot commodity, with the free registration booking up almost immediately.
When you register, if you’re quick enough, you can choose from two times, 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and there’s a wait list in case you didn’t snag a reservation. About 100 kids are admitted for each egg hunt.
What you should know:
- The egg hunt area is fenced off.
- You need to check in with your reservation and then kids get a wristband to enter the egg hunt.
- Kids 5 and younger get a head start. (It’s supposed to be 30 seconds but it was more like 10 seconds.)
- The eggs are empty for the most part. Some eggs have special prizes like tokens to Jeni’s Spendid Ice Cream.
- The kids get a bag of candy at the exit to the egg hunt area.
- Bring your own basket!
After or before the egg hunt the kids can get their faces painted or have a balloon animal made for them. Entertainment also includes crafts and a band.
I recommend this egg hunt if you already live in the area and have younger kids. (It’s not ideal for older kids, 7-9.)
