** Thanks to the Grinch’s Grotto for hosting our visit.

2020 has been a Grinch of a year, so the Grinch’s Grotto experience at Westfield Old Orchard (and other locations) seemed like an appropriate family-friendly holiday event this year. It’s an opportunity to have a private meet-and-greet with the Grinch himself and even take home some souvenirs.

The girls were so excited to meet the green guy. He had some interesting gifts for the girls, including his stinky sock (an ornament)! We posed for several photos and had a fun time chatting with the Grinch. We were able to pick our phrase to display in front of the tree. We then had the opportunity to take home photo print, or purchase more images if we’d like. There’s also a small gift shop of adorable plush toys; the girls could not resist a Lorax and a Grinch. I also picked up an ornament to commemorate the year since we didn’t get to buy any ornaments on our non-existent travels this year.

The cost for general admissionto the Grinch’s Grotto is $50 for up to five people, making it perfect for families. There’s also a VIP experience to consider. You choose a time for your visit so you have the Grinch all to yourself. Parents keep their masks on while the kids can remove them for photos, if you’re comfortable.
Will you take the opportunity to meet the Grinch this year?
