** I received a free invitation to the Hacking Your Health event and Thrive Clean wellness program. All images and opinions are my own.
A few weeks ago I was invited to attend the Hacking Your Health Live Pop-Up hosted by GF Mom Certified Tiffany Hinton and Kilogear Cut at Lateral Fitness in Chicago. It was held on Nov. 14, which is World Diabetes Day, and the goal was to raise awareness on preventing metabolic syndrome. I shared some of the event on Instagram Stories, but I’m recapping the night here for those interested in improving their overall wellness, like I am. This event could not come at a better time because I have struggled with motivation to work out and improve my overall wellness lately. I’m in probably my worst shape in years and I’d like to work on that. As part of this invitation, I am receiving Tiffany’s nine-week wellness program, which has recipes,a cardio metabolic food plan, biometrics, a mobile app, education modules, mindset tasks and more, for free. The kickoff was the Hacking Your Health event I attended.
We checked in and were given our wellness box full of goodies from the event sponsors. Tiffany introduced the brands as we unboxed our freebies.
My box included: A free fitness class card at Lateral Fitness, Brain Juice, a Clean Remedies CBD roller that is apparently approved by the NFL, a gratitude journal, a Thrive Clean (the wellness program) top that feels super soft, a protein shaker, vegan protein from NuMedica, and Kilogear Cut top and leggings. Kilogear Cut gear has slots for weights that you can insert and we received two sets of weights: .25 and .5 pound. You can wear them during errands or while working out for the benefits such as a higher peak heart rate and more burned calories.
After a tour of the Lateral Fitness facilities, which are pretty impressive, we changed into our Kilogear Cut clothing for a workout by a trainer at Lateral FItness. He set up 12 or so stations and we spent a couple minutes at each. It. was. hard. I tried new things such as sled pushes, ropes and plate pushes that really challenged me. I could feel the burn! We received a rate card for the private and group classes and the prices seem pretty reasonable for fitness classes. They also offer services such as meditation classes, pilates, endurance training, physical therapy, chiropractor services, acupuncture and more.

The event also had a social media scavenger hunt that required taking photos with fellow attendees. I loved meeting Chicago bloggers and moms because it’s not something I do often. It was out of my comfort zone to attend an event by myself but it was totally worth it.
I’m looking forward to participating in the Thrive Clean program, especially during the holidays when health and wellness tends to get off track.
