Travel hiccups completely threw me off this week. I had every workout and social event planned out perfectly in my calendar, but life decided I needed to be tested. The week started off just as previous weeks and then I found myself in an unfamiliar city with a racing mind that left me unable to sleep and therefore function. Here’s what happened:
Monday: Rest day.
Mileage: 8.1 miles.
Yoga minutes: 15.
Reflections:
I learned that life will throw you curve balls. I learned it’s OK to sleep if your body tells you it needs it. I learned to do the best I can under the circumstances. I learned I am strong enough to handle situations on my own. And while I did half the mileage I wanted to do, I at least got three workouts in. I have to remind myself I get a fresh start each week. Plus, I signed up for the lottery to run the Chicago Marathon! Wish me luck!
