I turn 32 tomorrow! Most of the time I forget my age, but not because I think my 30s are awful. Quite the opposite, my 30s so far have been better than most of my 20s. I’ve been thinking a lot about what I wish I had known at an earlier age, though, especially during and after college. While there are more I could share, these lessons have stood out the most to me.
32nd Birthday Lessons:
- Speak up for yourself.
- Don’t be afraid to say no without explanation. It’s a complete sentence, after all.
- Know your worth. Stop doing things for free or for less than you deserve!
- Embrace change.
- Believe in yourself.Β
I want to keep this short so I can relax over the weekend. This will likely be the most mellow birthday I’ve ever had because of the pregnancy-related aches and pains I’ve been experiencing during the last couple weeks. But I would like to give back to my readers with a giveaway! The (one) winner will have the option of a e-gift card to Lush, Starbucks or Etsy. This is open to U.S. and Canada residents and closes on Feb. 20, 2018, at 12 a.m. EST.
What’s a key lesson you have learned lately?
