My recent work trip included a stay at Margaritaville Resort in Kissimmee. It was not a bad week at the office, that’s for sure.
From the moment I checked in and was handed a tropical cocktail, I felt at ease.
My room had a view of one of the pools — the quieter one. I was handed a bracelet with my room key. No worrying about losing your key card to the room; plus, it was waterproof.
The staff was incredibly kind, helpful and efficient all week. If you stepped away from your table for even a few seconds they would snatch up your half-empty soda can.
The food was delicious; I had no complaints. I especially enjoyed the buffet breakfast, which had everything you could need: potatoes, pancakes, waffles, fruit, pastries, eggs, etc. This is my ideal hotel breakfast.
My room was nicely decorated, comfortable and big enough. I like the Margaritaville theme decor throughout the hotel, which includes Jimmy Buffet quotes, of course.
And it’s a small touch, but I always like when hotels have my name on the TV along with the weather. The alarm clocks were nice as well; more upgraded than typical hotels. You could choose the sound to wake you up. I had no complaints at all about the hotel stay. I hope we go back, in fact. It’s located near Disney, so my coworker and I went to Epcot one night to see Boyz II Men perform. Yes, in 2023. It was great.
I also had a free afternoon to spend as I wanted. I chose to decompress in the room and then check out the quiet pool. It rained a bit, but I still had a pleasant time.
There are restaurants within walking distance as well. If the price works for your budget, I think it’s a perfectly nice place to stay in the Orlando area.
