My latest listen on Audible is “Everything is Figureoutable” by Marie Forleo. Her main philosophy is in the book’s title. She aims to show how you can persevere through everything. She says this can apply to anything: learning a skill, changing careers, launching a business, travel, break an addiction, heal a relationship — anything!
She shares both real-life stories of people applying this “Everything is Figureoutable” philosophy to their problems and journaling prompts. I find her advice to be relevant and helpful for people who need to hear this. She tells inspiring stories of people such as women in abusive relationships who must work through unimaginable pain and obstacles to acheive their goals. This is not meant to be a comparison but to show that people can overcome these headwinds.
Some of the most poignant advice for me:
“Fear is healthy if it inspires you to act.”
“Avoidance does not extinguish your fear, action does.”
There is no such thing as good or bad emotions. All emotions are useful. We just need to interpret them correctly and use them to our advantage.
If you’re looking for some motivation, you could find this book or audiobook useful.
