With the wealth of options, it’s easy to feel a little overwhelmed when planning a trip in the U.S., especially if you want to avoid some of the more obvious areas. That doesn’t mean you’re out of options. Far from it. There are quite a few places well worth visiting that you might not have considered.
Travel to America: 3 Places to Visit
1. Philadelphia
If you’re a “Rocky” fan, then Philadelphia could be one of the more notable places you might want to visit. There’s much more to offer than simply running up the same steps from the movie, however, as the city boasts quite a bit of history and a unique culture.
It could be worth spending a decent bit of time there to take all of this in, especially if you’re staying in any Philadelphia extended stay hotels. With a little bit of time and effort, you’ll be taking in Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and other historic places.
You can also catch.an NFL game to see the Eagles or go to a Philles baseball game, depending on the time of year. If you prefer basketball, there’s the 76ers.
2. Savannah
Sometimes, it’s the smaller cities that have a lot more charm and appeal, making them well worth considering. Savannah, Georgia, can be one of the best places for this.
While the city wasn’t developed with tourism in mind, it still boasts a unique and charming appeal that you’re sure to love. The lush greenery, scenic parks, relaxing atmosphere, and similar characteristics are all there to enjoy.
Since everything is slow-paced, you shouldn’t have a problem relaxing and enjoying yourself while you’re there.
We stopped in Savannah during a road trip and it was lovely.

3. Asheville
If you want to go somewhere scenic, then Asheville could be one of the more notable places to go. Sitting in the middle of the Appalachian mountain range’s Blue Ridge, it has some of the more stunning sights in the U.S. While you’ll have to be good with heights for this, it’s still worth considering.
Hiking the mountain trails isn’t the only thing you can enjoy when you’re here; there are countless other ways to enjoy yourself. The arts and music festivals can be fun, and the food will be tasty.
Keeping an open mind
If you want to travel in America, you could have a few places in mind already, but you could be relatively open to where you should visit. Sometimes, it’s worth avoiding some of the more obvious places that are too crowded with tourists.
Asheville, Philadelphia, and Savannah can be rewarding places to go. Bursting full of culture and things to do, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t consider them.
