I recently decided to try Nectar Bath Treats to see if I could find bath bombs that were more affordable but still cruelty-free and plant-based. I placed an order in March when I realized I would need more relaxation in my life given everything that’s going on.
My first order was for four bath treats: the Sugar Crush Bath Bomb, Awaken Your Senses Bath Bomb, Coconut Dream Bath Bomb and Calm Your Spirit Bath Bomb. Nectar was having an awesome sale for buy one/get one free, so I only paid for two of them. Shipping was $4.99 and my package arrived quickly.
Note: During the current COVID-19 outbreak, Nectar is offering buy one/get one free for many of the popular products.
My thoughts on each bath bomb:
Sugar Crush ($6): I bought this because it’s heart-shaped and cute. According to Nectar the scents are Asian pear and Lily and Pink Sugar. It smelled like cotton candy or just bubblegum, I couldn’t decide. Either way, I enjoyed it. The resulting water was pink with some white foam and swirls of pink.

Awaken Your Senses ($6): This green bath bomb appealed to me to help me reenergize. Its main scents are peppermint, clary sage, and juniper berry, and it leaves the bath water green. The scent was not as strong with this bath bomb.

Coconut Dream ($6): This pretty bath bomb drew me in with its colors. The ingredients include sweet almond oil, which is moisturizing, as well as epsom salts and bentonite clay. I love anything with a coconut scent. The bath water turned a faint blue. I expected more color in the bath water, but it was still nice.

Calm Your Spirit ($6): This bath bomb reminded me of a Lush bath bomb that helps you sleep, except with less mess. It smells of lavender, chamomile and warm honey and leaves the water a light purple with little bits of lavender in the tub, but they are easy to clean.

I recommend these if you find other bath bombs to be messy. These bath bombs dissolve quickly and didn’t leave residue on my tub. They didn’t contain large amounts of glitter with the exception of the Sugar Crush Bath Bomb.
Nectar bath bombs are made in Las Vegas. What’s unique about Nectar is that you can create your own custom body lotions, body oils, shower gels or scrubs as well. I will be trying those next. You simply chose the scents you enjoy and make a product you will love! They offer gift sets tailored for occasions such as baby showers and birthdays as well. You’ll also find other bath treats like teas and scoops, along with face masks and more. Nectar products are paraben- and sulfate-free, as well as handmade.
