Labor Day weekend was made even more special when I watched my hometown team take on my new team in Chicago.
The Diamondbacks were in town to play the Cubs at Wrigley Field, and I was lucky enough to have tickets to the Saturday and Sunday games.
Saturday’s seats were closer to home plate and in the shade, which I appreciated on a warm, humid day. I treated myself to a Daiquiri that promptly melted, but it was refreshing nonetheless.
I’m declaring this a September to Remember, because I have a good feeling about the Cubs’ playoff chances and because I think this is going to be a fun month. (Our first wedding anniversary is this month!) Highlights of the day were watching a couple get engaged on the field after the game and getting to walk onto the field (never the grass!).

I didn’t recognize as many of the Diamondbacks’ names as I once did. |
How do you think the Cubs will do this month?
