While researching Mother’s Day gifts that give back I came across Musee Bath, a Mississippi company that hires women in recovery, individuals with disabilities and people who have not had the opportunities of education. Their bath bombs, or balms, as they call them, looked nice and were fairly priced, so I ordered several for myself and for my sister-in-law. I have found my new favorite bath bombs! Before I get too far ahead of myself, let me share my experience with the bath bombs I ordered recently. My Musee Bath review:
Musee Bath bombs are made of natural ingredients, cruelty-free, paraben-and sulfate-free and made in the U.S. Not only that, but their packaging is lovely!
Three of my bath bombs came in boxes, while the others were wrapped in tissue paper and featured a tag with the name of the bomb. What makes these fantastic is that the Musee Originals have little prizes inside! Not all of their bath bombs do, just the Originals.
Don’t Worry, Be Happy ($6.95): This seemed appropriate for the times. I needed a pick-me-up and Musee delivered. The bath bomb smelled delightful with citrus scents. It was larger than bath bombs from other companies I’ve tried, too. It had a strong scent (not a bad thing) and fizzled quickly into a yellowish-orange bath water. It was uplifting and featured a smiley face bouncey ball inside.
Celebrate Good Times ($6.95): This one had a clean scent, if that makes sense. It fizzles into blue water and reminded me of funfetti. It was a party in the tub in that it had a water-activated light inside that changed colors! So fun!
My Girl: This pink, white and blue bath bomb reminded me of cotton candy or confetti, and it had a yellow bracelet inside! So cute! It was relaxing and perfect for before bed. The water was a light pink. (This one might be discontinued because it’s no longer on the website.)
Forever Young ($10): The packaging on this one was a nice round box that I plan to keep. The pink bath bomb smelled of jasmine and lemongrass. It felt like I was in a milk bath. This one didn’t have a surprise inside.
Beyond the Sea ($8): This mermaid theme bath bomb had a fun surprise inside: a mermaid ring! It dissolved in blue and purple rings that resulted in blue water. I loved it!
Next left to try:
Happy Birthday ($6.95)
Do You Believe in Magic ($8)
Note: Musee Bath Balms don’t cause a mess. I had little to no cleanup, which I appreciated.
According to their website, “A portion of our profits is invested to educate children, provide jobs and create resources that will inspire change in communities throughout the world.” Musee offers bath bombs, soaps, bath soaks, candles and gift sets. I recommend these bath balms for yourself or as gifts!
